Today was the first time of using the KALM and I was very pleased that my quarter pony ate it. I also gave a quarter cookie to my Mustang just to see if he'd eat it. After shaking their heads at something new, they both ate it. My quarter pony got a whole one and I seemed to notice that he was not as watchy has he can be. I rode out into my neighborhood for the first time in about 3 months and we did not have one episode. But then again it was a quiet ride with no dogs lunging at fences as we went by. I don't know if it was a placebo effect for me, or was the real deal for my horse, but I'll take it.
My horse now looks forward to his pre-ride treat. On days I feel he will be extra spicy I give him two cookies (winter) and other riding days I just give one. I don’t use this with feeding times but instead a 30-min-before-our-ride ritual. I feel he is just less reactive to normally spooky things / noises outside the ring and more focused on his job. This doesn’t make him dull or sloppy at all, just takes off the edge (and the buck out) a little bit. OR Maybe it does nothing, and it’s all in my head, so that’s why I have a calmer horse (because I’m calmer), or maybe it really works.. either way, our rides are better when I give the treat vs when I don’t, so I will continue to do so!
Very easy to use and the horses love it mellows them out
My experience was amazing. My horse is very... selective about eating supplements. She did not care for these but her next-door neighbor bangs down their adjoining fence to get them so I can't say the supplement is not palatable. My horse refuses to eat many things. When I contacted Corro they were AMAZING!!!! they gave me store credit for my whole purchase amount. This was very appreciated and I recommend shopping with them on that experience alone.
I love using the product. It really helps my horse be calm and then he can focus on the task at hand. He loves the taste.
