I recently purchased a beautiful horse whom I did not know had navicular disease. He was ouchie on rocks and hard surfaces. After discovering the Trek boot was recommended for navicular horses, I purchased two different sizes of the Trek single boot because one foot took a size 2 and the other foot took a size 3. The instant I put the boots on he and I were both AMAZED at the difference it made for him. He strided out normally like he should and I could tell he was so comfortable walking out in them and he was in disbelief himself at how good they felt. He and I both enjoy riding with them on and won't go without them! Thank you for the Trek boot. It is making the difference for my beautiful boy!!!
I have arthritis in both my hands, this boot is simple for my to put on and take off. This boot allows my husband and I to ride in an terrain at any gait without fear that they'll fall off. We took great care to follow the advice give about oiling the bulb area of the boot as well as working the leather parts of the boot with our hands. We allowed our horse's to wear them for short periods of time before going out on the trail. So fare no rubs yet
They work perfectly on the thoroughbred mare. I like the neon green because it's noticeable when cloudy and dusk. Very easy to put on and stay on.
I got this to use in case of a pulled shoe in muddy springtime turnout conditions. It worked great! My small warmblood wore it for 4-5 days in turnout before the farrier could come to reattach his shoe. He's a 4 yr old mouthy thing and didn't take it off or damage it! I'd say its very sturdy and effective.
These boots are the best I have tried, and are certainly the easiest to use for a horse with odd-shaped feet in particular. My horse has a club foot, and with these boots it is possible to snug the boots around the hoof.
