The initial dose “offended” my usually NOT picky horse’s nose. I had to reduce the dose to half and work my way up until he got used to the smell. It smells good, it was just different, so he was skeptical. As to effectiveness, I suppose only time will tell. It’s the type of product that is preventative, so unless he develops problems, we’ll have to assume it’s working.
I use this preventatively for horses prone to stress, in feed during trailering, showing, or moving. Love that the clay adds a soothing layer to the gut, have had great success with this!
Still currently using the powder but my horse is eating better just after one week.
I have used uguard for several years . My horses have no ulcers while using it , they must love the taste of the powder cause they lick the bucket clean .
